The best way to keep up to date with Peacehaven & Telscombe FC

Academy is front page news

9 months ago By Pitchside View

PEACEHAVEN & TELSCOMBE FC’S football academy is on the front page of the October edition of E-News.

E-News is Peacehaven Town Council’s monthly online magazine and is a great way to keep up to date with the town council and events in the town.

As well as being the front page lead story, on page 4 of this month’s edition are full details about the club’s new Football Academy.

Youth chairman Steve Davies said: “The Academy has got off to a brilliant start with around 30 youngsters attending each session. As well as first team manager Mark Shutt and UEFA B Coach, Tony Coade, first team players Josh Marshall and Jake Legrange are also involved with the coaching.”

Davies continued: “For the previous two weeks the sessions have concentrated on passing, one v one situations and first time shooting drills which were then taken into a match situation.”

“Whilst the drills are adapted for each age group it is really interesting to watch how the youngsters get on, and they all did really well. More importantly they all came off at the end happy and smiling. This is one of the fulfilling reasons why I got involved with the community club.”
