PEACEHAVEN & TELSCOMBE U21s fought out an entertaining draw with Eastbourne Town U21s at the Unibet Arena on Monday evening.

Clive Blunt’s young guns went into the game in the knowledge they had a point to prove after being hit for seven by Town the last time the two teams met.

In a lively game Peacehaven took the lead on sixteen minutes. Great work by Connor Martin saw him win a free kick on the edge of the box. The ball went to Shimmy Ptak who despatched the ball into the bottom corner.

The game ebbed and flowed and Loz Sanded (pictured) in the Haven goal had to be at his best to keep Town out after a monumental goalmouth scramble.

After the interval Eastbourne Town fought hard for the equaliser going close on several occasions before Jason Taylor evened things up on the 66th minute.

Both sides had further chances and Peacehaven will count themselves unlucky they were not awarded a penalty when Martin looked to have been taken down in the Town penalty area.

Final score: Peacehaven & Telscombe U21s 1, Eastbourne Town U21s 1. Peacehaven now move up to third place in the league.

Peacehaven & Telscombe U21s: Sanded, Davis, Dinnage, Muller, Blunt, Tekin-Fisher, Avens, Ptak, Ford, Johnston, Martin.
