Burton’s three do the trick

9 months ago By Pitchside View

A HAT TRICK from Gus Burton set Peacehaven U21s on their way to a 5-1 win over Rottingdean Village U21s.

Burton opened the scoring in the 11th minute when he got on the end of a Conor Wilkins corner.

Two minutes later Haven had doubled their lead after Burton battled for possession in the box and found Marcus Richmond who made it 2-0.

On the stroke of half time, Rottingdean pulled a goal back which put them back in the game.

And then Burton struck twice more in the 55th and 67th minutes to seal victory. Kieron Davis then wrapped things up in the 91st minute to make it 5-1 to Peacehaven.

Peacehaven & Telscombe U21s now move up to second place in the league with 20 points from ten games played, four points behind Newhaven but with a game in hand on the leaders.
