3 months ago By Pitchside View

JOSH MARSHALL hit three goals to put Peacehaven into the Under 21s Challenge Cup Final.

In their first season playing at this level, Clive Blunt’s young guns were fired into the final by a brilliant hat trick by Josh Marshall.

Haven had the ball in the net after five minutes but the strike was ruled for offside.

Marshall opened the scoring on 17 minutes when he was put through and put the ball under the advancing Pagham keeper.

Half time: Peacehaven & Telscombe 1, Pagham 0.

With 54 minutes played, Haven were 2-0 to the good when after a clever free kick by Fraser Massen, Marshall found the bottom corner for his second.

The game was put beyond doubt in the 71st minute when Marshall hit his and Haven’s third into the corner.

Peacehaven & Telscombe: Sanded, Davis, Blunt, Massen, Dinnage, Muller, Marshall, Avens, Martin, Ptak, Colgan. Subs: Tekin-Fisher, Edwards, Johnson, Davis, Karadzas.
